Rafting
across snow melt a thrilling, chilling adventure
Rafting the Wenatchee River is an experience that most out-of-town
clients will never forget!
In rafting jargon, the river is classed as a III to 3+ and the
season generally runs from as early as March through July.

Icy water melting from the north Cascades generate waves as high
as 12 feet, making river rafting a thrill and chill for beginners
and experienced rafters alike.
Most rafting companies put in at Leavenworth, either along the
aptlynamed Icicle River, or just below the confluence of the Icicle
and Wenatchee rivers.
Rafters then descend from the alpine environs of Leavenworth
through the Cashmere valley, with mountains and apple orchards
on either side, and pull out near Cashmere.
Due to the popularity of whitewater rafting, most companies recommend
early reservations, and as might be expected, weekends on the
river can resemble 5 o'clock rush hour traffic on Mission Street.
Most companies provide wetsuits (essential for icy waters) and
experienced river guides can tailor rafting trips from mild to
wild.
